After his defeat he was stripped of all his lands by King Aerys Targaryen and exiled from Westeros. The rebel army triumphed over the royal army, in what is considered by most in Westeros to be the turning point of the War of the Usurper. The ensuing battle between the relieving army of Eddard Stark and the cornered Robert Baratheon with Jon Connington would be known thereafter as The Battle of the Bells. Sean is back and were getting started with the third story Maynard Plumm, John the Fiddler, Stoney Sept, Glendon Ball, Kyle the Cat, Gormon Peake, Alyn. However, due to what most attribute as a desire for glory, Connington decided to root out Robert and capture him by leading his troops directly into Stoney Sept. Surrounding the sept and burning its inhabitants would crush the rebellion against House Targaryen. Jon Connington commanded the army which cornered Robert Baratheon in the Stoney Sept, one blow away from ending the rebllion. He was a close friend of Rhaegar Targaryen and was chosen as Hand due to this connection and his strong nature.
After news of the fall of Stoney Sept to a band of Lannister soldiers led by an unnamed general and the death of the towns leader reached. It occurs off-screen in between the episodes 'Valar Dohaeris' and 'Dark Wings, Dark Words'. Jon Connington, Head of House Connington of the Stormlands, was first of three Hands of the King chosen during The War of the Usurper after Owen Merryweather was dismissed for not preventing the rebellion. The Sack of Stoney Sept is an event in the War of the Five Kings.
